Paint Rock Donation by Lincoln Farms
Paint Rock Donation by Lincoln Farms
Monday, June 22, 2020

This 24,000 pound bolder was unearthed on the property of Lincoln Farms which is owned by Gaylord (Butch) Lincoln. Lincoln Farms is managed by Brent Lincoln and includes family members Dan, Paul, and Brent.  Brent, who is also Springport’s Chief of Police, contacted Springport Public Schools Superintendent Bob Cassiday with an offer to make a large “paint rock” donation to the district.

The boulder was trucked to the school district’s front lawn on Friday, June 12. Dan Lincoln used a low-boy trailer to haul it there and a front end loader to roll it into its current location. The school district is very grateful to Lincoln Farms for this generous donation that generations of Spartans will use to display their school spirit.
